HOPE CHICKEN CENTER is a project that aims to set up a central chicken farming facility & training hub that helps families raise chickens and eggs.
It’s not just "raising chickens". It’s about using poultry as a tool to fight against Children's malnutrition & poverty.
The Hope Chicken Center works on 3 problems at once:
1. Nutrition: Provide eggs to improve diets for children and pregnant mothers. Fights stunting.
2. Income: Trains families in poultry farming so they can sell eggs and chickens to become self-reliant. Supports PISE goal.
3. Skills: Act as a demonstration & training center for youth in VTT. Youth learn critical poultry business skills.
Main Objectives
1. Improve Family Nutrition: Distribute 150,000 eggs per year to 1000 vulnerable households
2. Create Income: Train 150 families to start their own poultry farms and increase income by 40%
3. Build Skills: Train 50 families in poultry farming, business, and marketing through the Chicken Center
Expected Results
- Reduced malnutrition in children in target communities
- 150 new small poultry businesses started by women and youth
- Chicken Center becomes self-sustaining and supplies inputs to the community
